Founded in Florence in 2013, Galleria Secci operated for about a decade in the historic Palazzo Ricasoli. From the very beginning, it distinguished itself through an exhibition program embracing a wide variety of artistic languages and themes. Dedicated to the promotion of and research into contemporary art, the gallery represents a large group of Italian and international artists, ranging from young emerging talents to well-established names, and also manages important artist estates including those of Gio’ Pomodoro, Concetto Pozzati, and Giulio Turcato.

In 2021, the opening of two new exhibition spaces in the heart of Milan marked a crucial milestone in the gallery’s growth, enabling the realization of large-scale exhibitions and ambitious site-specific projects. The goal is to strengthen international dialogue through ongoing collaborations with critics, collectors, and scholars. Among the curators with whom the gallery has recently collaborated are Marco Scotini, Pier Paolo Pancotto, David Anfam, Laura Cherubini, Alberto Fiz, Essence Harden, and Sergio Risaliti, among others.

The gallery’s mission rests on two pillars: supporting the development of its artists and fostering a vibrant cultural exchange, both locally and internationally. It promotes museum projects, institutional initiatives, and the publication of catalogues and critical essays to deepen the understanding of its artists’ work. In recent years, NOVO was launched, an independent space devoted to artistic experimentation and contemporary languages. NOVO serves as an incubator for new ideas, offering fertile ground for emerging projects.

Galleria Secci participates in more than ten international art fairs each year, and its artists’ works have entered prestigious museum and private collections such as the Dallas Museum of Art, ICA Miami, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the KG Collection in Chicago, and MAXXI in Rome.
