Secci was founded in Florence in 2013. Since then, the gallery has gained an international reputation by carrying out a high-quality and curatorial-driven exhibition program. Situated in the historical 15-century Palazzo Ricasoli, the Florentine space has always been an incubator for artistic creativity. The gallery’s rigorous curatorial approach has fostered international collaborations and partnerships by involving critics and curators.
In 2021, the gallery started opening its door to Post-War avant-gardism thanks to the extensive retrospective dedicated to Titina Maselli. The event also marked the starting point of a few important collaborations between the gallery itself and some renowned Artists’ Estates. The gallery now presents and develops a multidisciplinary program and a cultivated mix of Modern and Contemporary art that makes them co-existing, by following the cross-cutting nature of art itself.
